Barney Elliot's masterclass
Last week we had a film masterclass guided by the independent film director Barney Elliot. He talked about how he came to be what he is today, how to become a director, showed and explained two of his films and explained the process he is at the moment in the making of his first feature film. I found his ideas rather interesting, and how he got to become a film director was quite interesting too. I found both of his short films to be excellent, yet I could not see much of the serious side of the first movie. It felt much more like a comedy to me, a rather dark comedy though. The second one seemed great, with a great open ending. I learned that having contacts in the film industry can help you go far, so this gave me the idea to try to meet as many producers and directors as possible while im still here in Peru, to help me boost up potential for the future since I want to become a film director.
